3% of the UK population is Muslim. So 20 Muslim MP's would be 3% of the number in Parliament.
Mr Malik may have a valid point there, if he wishes to see all groups within the UK represented fairly. However, in the UK we do not have a system of proportional representation, but a first past the post one. That system is easier to understand, but it does not necessarily mean it will fairly represent all groups in society.
I alsvid to mpso feel Mr Malik should be concentrating on re-establishing his constituents faith in him, rather than bleating in an aggrieved tone about how paying for fancy TV sets at the taxpayers expense is within the rules. He obviously wasn't practising being a good Muslim then.

Why only 20? make everyone including all animals. Who cares. MPs are elected and not selected. If they want that many let them contest and become one.....let the entire parliament be full of them......all politicians are dumb heads and have nothing to do.
